Deepa Kern - a Profile

Deepa Kern searches for expression through art. For her, art is a spontaneous and joyful celebration of life. It encourages her creativity and invigorates her quest for something truer. She is a traveller on an ever-changing, unpredictable journey. Her paintings portray her intuitive insights into the human mind and bring forth a spontaneity to the subject she has chosen to depict, be it figurative, landscapes or abstracts.

Born in Chennai in 1965, Deepa is a self-taught artist who began painting about 20 years ago. In September 1998, she held an exhibition of her paintings at Coimbatore, South India, which was sponsored by Mercedes Benz India.
